Transfer to the hotel / Recreation A sightseeing tour around evening Tbilisi where you will visit: the Metekhi church and the statue of Vakhtang Gorgasali, the founder of the capital of Tbilisi. The trip continues to the cable car station and, via the cable car, reaches the Narikala fortress. In the fortress Narikala you can enjoy a magnificent view of the old town. Go down from the Narikala fortress to the Peace Bridge and walk along the narrow streets of Shardeni and Irekla, in which there are many cafes and restaurants. Day 2: Mtskheta / Kazbegi Breakfast at the hotel Trip to Mtskheta, 20 km from Tbilisi. In Mtskheta, the former capital of Georgia, you will visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, which is now the residence of Archbishop Mtskheta and Tbilisi, and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The next destination will be Samtavro, a small church dating back to the 4th century. The last stop will be at the monastery of Jvari (Cross), located on a rock above Mtskheta. It dates back to the VI century, is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and gives you a beautiful view from above. The raisin of this day will be Cruise on the Aragvi River, which will last 30 minutes. A trip to Kazbegi, which is located 160 km from Tbilisi. The bus will travel along the Georgian military road, which runs between Tbilisi (Georgia) and Vladikavkaz (Russia), and has a length of 208 km. On the way to Kazbegi, you will visit the fortress of Ananuri, located on the front of the Aragvi River, and overlooking the Zhinvali Reservoir. The next stop will be in the ski resort of Gudauri, located at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. From Gudauri you will continue your trip to Stepantsminda, from there you will go on a jeep-excursion to the Trinity Church of Gergeti. The church was built in the 14th century and offers a beautiful view of Mount Kazbek, the highest peak in Eastern Georgia (5,047 meters). The tour will end with a return to Tbilisi
Day 3: Gori / Ufliscikhe Breakfast at the hotel The tour begins with a trip to the cave town Uplistsikhe. Uplistsikhe literally means "the lord's fortress", dates back to the Iron Age and is one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia. The city covers an area of about 8 hectares. The cave complex Uplistsikhe is on the preliminary list for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage program since 2007. The next stop will be at the Josef Stalin Museum in Gori, which was established in 1951. The exhibition is divided into six rooms approximately in chronological order, and has many things, in fact or supposedly belonging to Stalin. The display ends with one of the twelve copies of Stalin's death mask, which was shot shortly after his death. The trip will end with a return to Tbilisi. The next destination will be the Tsinandali Museum's house. Tsinandali is known as an estate and a historic winery belonging to the then aristocratic poet Alexander Chavchavadze. Since 1947 the House-Museum of Alexander Chavchavadze in Tsinandali welcomes visitors who are interested in his family and the palace. After the reconstruction in 2008, the museum hosted various exhibitions of works by famous Georgian and foreign artists, such as Salvador Dali, Elin Akhvlediani, Carlo Kacharava and many others.
