Arrival: 26 July 2018
 
Day 1. Departure from the USA to Porto. The average air temperature in Porto in July is 20-25 ° C in the daytime, 15-20 ° C at night, with the minimum amount of precipitation (on average, 2 rainy days per month).
 
Day 2. Meeting at the airport and transfer to Porto. The first meeting  with the city. The program of our excursion will include the most famous masterpieces of the architecture of the city - the Church of Carmo and the Carmelites, the Tower and the Church of Clerigush, the Lello Bookstore, which is  most beautiful bookstores in the world, Plaza Aliados, San Bento Station, Cathedral. Check in to the ship, free time.
 
Day 3. Breakfast on the ship. Continuation of acquaintance with Porto. Excursion to one of the cellars with the Port Vine of Villa Nova de Gaia. This city, which is located on the other side of the Douro River in front of Porto.
In the afternoon  we will have bus and walking tour to the religious capital of Portugal - Braga. Modern Braga was inhabited already in the time of the megalith, visited the capital of the province in the Roman Empire - Gallecia, and now it houses the oldest Cathedral in Portugal. The bus will bring the group after an excursion to Entre Ush Roush, where our ship will transfer during our excursion.
 
Day 4. Breakfast on the ship. Departure for an excursion to the city of Lamego. Lamego is famous for its historical center, from where a stunning view of the baroque staircase and the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Healing opens. We will walk along the most beautiful square of the city, and also visit one of the oldest cathedrals in Portugal. Lamego is famous for producing the chamon (or prezanto). During our  visit , we will have free time, in order to,  taste great prezento with local sparkling wines - Rapuzeira. Night on the ship in Regua.
 
Day 5. After breakfast on the ship, we will have  bus-walking tour, we will visit  the estate Mateusz and the town of Vila Real. The Baroque manor of Mateus is famous not only for its magnificent gardens, inspired by the ideas of Versailles, but also for its interior decoration, including the famous library, as well as Chinese faience and ceramics. We will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the interior decoration of the Manor, as well as stroll through its famous gardens. After visiting the estate, we will proceed to the town of Vila Real, which is fenced on all sides by the mountains of the Douro Valley. We will stroll through the historic part of the city, as well as taste the local sweets - Krishtash, with fragrant Portuguese coffee (or a local cafe). Night on the ship in Barca Dalva.
 
Day 6. After breakfast on board we will have bus-walking tour to Salamanca,it is one of the largest cities in the region of Castile and Leon in Spain, Salamanca is known as the "Golden City". The splendid Plateresque style used in the construction of one of the oldest universities in Europe, as well as the facade of the Old Cathedral, will not leave us indifferent. We will visit the New and Old Cathedral of the city, completely unique in that they are shared by one wall. We will walk along the corridors of the historic building of the University of Salamanca, as well as we will walk along the street Major, which crosses the central part of historical Salamanca. Night on the ship in Barca Dalva.
 
Day 7. After breakfast on board we will have  bus-walking tour to the town of Castelo Rodrigo and a short tour of the city of Pinhana with a visit to one of the most beautiful stations of the Douro Valley, decorated with Portuguese tiles-azulejush. Night on a ship in Pinan.
 
Day 8. After lunch on board we will have bus-walking tour to the city of Guimaraes - "Cradle of the Portuguese Nation" with a walk through the historic part of the city and visiting one of the seven wonders of Portugal - the Guimaraes Fortress. "Cradle of the Portuguese Nation" - so proudly call the city the inhabitants themselves. Night on a ship in Porto.
 
Day 9. After lunch on the ship we will leave  to Lisbon with an excursion program in Fatima and Obidos. Fatima is the place of worship of the Most Holy Theotokos, which was to three shepherds in the early 20th century. You will visit the sanctuary of Fatima, and also learn the history of the Fatima miracle. Lunch in the fishing town of Nazare on the Atlantic coast, then arrival in the city of Obidos is a small medieval town that will captivate with its charm. As an alternative route we can offer  a sightseeing tour around Coimbra and a stop in Fatima. Overnight in the capital of Portugal - Lisbon.

Day 10. After breakfast at the hotel,  we will have a bus and walking tour in Lisbon. We will enjoy the hilly narrow streets of the city, breathe the fresh Atlantic air, admiring the Rossiu Square, the Baixa, Kastela and Bairo Altu regions.

Day 11. After breakfast at the hotel,  we will have a bus and pedestrian excursion to the city of Sintra is a small and cozy town near Lisbon, sheltered on the slopes of the mountains, and, as Byron wrote, "called paradise, where there are no beauties of measure and number." It is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Great writers like Hans Christian Andersen, Luis Camoens, Almeida Garrett came here and created here, and Byron simply adored him! We will be amazed by the abundance of parks, gardens and avenues in such a small town! It is not for nothing that the heirs of the Portuguese throne still live here. We will also visit Cape Cabo da Roca and take a picture at this very western point of Europe. Overnight in Lisbon.
 
Day 12. Breakfast at the hotel.We will have transfer to Lisbon airport and flight home with luggage of pleasant impressions.
