Tour description

You will meet with our guide and head west along the Tamia Trail - the first road created by a man in Everglades Park.

Moving past the endless prairies with a sword-grass dotted with wooden decks, you will learn about the history of Florida and the creation of unique glades that gave the name of the park and appeared three hundred million years ago. The guide will tell you about the amazing geology, flora and fauna of the park and explain why the Everglades is one of only two world famous wetlands, and why the park was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is on the list of wetlands protected by Ramsar Convention and has the status of the International Biosphere Reserve.

You will learn about the seven different Everglades ecosystems, which are united by fresh water, are completely dependent on each other and must interact with each other to survive the flora and fauna of the park. Once we arrive at the Big Cypress National Reserve, you will learn about the famous Cypress swamps and rocky pine forests and see for yourself how one ecosystem replaces another.

Then we will take you to the heart of the Big Cypress Park, where we will tell you the fascinating ancient history of its creation. We will tell you about the indigenous population, the ancient people who lived here 3000 years ago and about the tribes of the Seminole Indians, for whom the Everglades is still home now. During the tour you have a unique opportunity to observe wild animals in the natural habitat; we can meet alligators, white storks, osprey, white-tailed deer, foxes, squirrels, hawks, herons, large blue herons and many other representatives of the animal world.

We will also show you the famous Sweetwater Strand - one of the most picturesque places in all of the Everglades in Florida. This place is a unique chance to enjoy the silence and seclusion that the national park offers.

The next stage of our excursion is an hour private ride on a glider along the swamps of Sawgrass with an experienced ship captain. The trip on the glider is interesting because during the trip we will make two important stops. The first stop is the "last wooden hammock" or as it is also called "the island of trees", which the Seminole Indians inhabited until 1975, and the second - a small island with a special infrastructure where the wounded and diseased animals of Everglades Park undergo rehabilitation before heading out back into the wild. Traveling on a glider will promise to be very cheerful, and if you wish and make a request in advance, we can stop for a picnic and dine al fresco on one of the islands!

Returning from the park back to Miami, we will tell you how important it is to preserve and protect the unique nature and wetlands of the Everglades Park, where more than 36 species of endangered species of animals and plants live, and how important each drop of water in the fresh lakes of the park is for survival flora and fauna throughout South Florida.

If you are interested in a holiday among wildlife, book this tour. You will see how truly wonderful and amazing the Everglades National Park is.
