Excursion to Palm Beach, Miami
DESCRIPTION
Palm Beach is a 16 mile long barrier island located 65 km north of Miami. To the east, the island is washed by the Atlantic Ocean, and to the west there is a coastal channel that separates Palm Beach from the cities of West Palm Beach and Lake Worth.
Palm Beach is where the rich and famous live. The island is home to the Flagler Museum, which is definitely worth a visit to learn more about the history of Florida, about the times of development and formation of the state, when Henry Flagler's railroads and luxury hotels made tourism and agriculture the basis of Florida's economy.
During the tour we will also visit the famous hotel "The Breakers", which was built by Henry Flagler in 1896 and is successfully operating to this day, being one of the most luxurious and expensive hotels in South Florida.
Discover the stunning Gilded Age, the most fascinating period in American history.
