We invite you to an exciting walking tour of the ancient district of Moscow - Zamoskvorechye.
During the tour you will see ancient temples and monasteries, decorated mansions and wooden houses. You will be told a history about the preserved, undestroyed merchant's Moscow: B.Polyanka street - the Church of Gregory of Neo-Sessary, B. Ordynka street - mansions, the church of St. Nicholas in Pyzhy and the Saints Martha and Mary Convent of Mercy (a place associated with the royal family). Entering the high fence of the famous the Saints Martha and Mary Convent of Mercy, you fall completely into another world - a world of peace and tranquility. You will hear the history of the monastery, stories about the most famous sisters of mercy. Or you may just sit in the silence of the monastery garden, enjoying the sounds of nature.
Then we will walk along Tolmachevsky and Lavrushinsky lanes. The final point of our tour will be a visit to the State Tretyakov Gallery. The art gallery is acknowledged as one of the most treasured cultural heritage establishments in the Russian Federation. Here you can see more than 1300 works of Russian art from the 11th till the early 20th century, beginning from pre-Mongolian icons and mosaics and ending with landscape, portrait and historical painting and masterpieces.
