The Warm Mineral Springs is a water-filled sinkhole located in North Port, Florida , a mile north of U.S. 41. The primary water supply is a spring vent deep beneath the pool's water surface. Warm Mineral Springs is the only warm water mineral spring in the State of Florida. It is an important geological and archaelogical site containing Native American remnants. It functioned as a small natural spa since the 1960s. People travel from all over the world to soak in the mineral-rich waters. The waters are believed to have extraordinary healing powers and some believe it was the fountain of youth sought by Ponce de Leon.
Miracle Lake occupies an area of 1.4 acres and is located in a wonderful place, surrounded by eucalyptus trees. During day, about forty thousand cubic meters of mineral water enter the lake. The water temperature in the lake is almost always constant - about 30 degrees Celsius. A special microclimate of the lake allows you to swim in it at any time of the year, which has a beneficial effect on health. The diameter of the miracle lake is up to 175 meters, the depth is up to 79 meters. Along the perimeter, not far from the coast, the water area of the lake is fenced with a thick rope, beyond which it is not allowed to swim, for the safety of tourists. Contains 51 minerals and in its composition is the first lake in America. A throughout the world, it ranks third in mineralization. Mineral water is indicated for the treatment of joint pain, arthritis, rheumatism and radiculitis.
