We invite you to walking tour of The Arbat. It has existed since at least the 15th century, which makes it one of the oldest surviving streets of the Russian capital. You will find out what the name of the street means and why it is so called. The Arbat district used to be and is one of the most bohemian places of Moscow. You will get acquainted with the people who lived and worked here. Alexander Pushkin’s name is closely connected with this street. You will be surprised by mansions and beautiful houses of all architectural styles. Since 1986, the Arbat has been dotted with distinctive street lanterns. The Pushkin House-Museum, the famous Praga (Prague) restaurant, several notable statues, such as Princess Turandot in front of the Vakhtangov Theatre and to bard Bulat Okudzhava, who wrote several songs about the Arbat are not the all attractions of the street.
